The staff was incredibly friendly-- from the valet to the front desk to the maintenance crew. Everyone was so kind. We had a smooth check-in process. There was one inconsistency that the gentleman checking in the family next to me pointed out the complimentary beverages they could help themselves to (prosseco and water), but the woman checking me in never offered them to us. We were booked into a Deluxe King and it was huge! So clean and comfortable. There are complimentary snacks and beverages that are re-stocked each day. I have never experienced that before and was a huge bonus. There was a maintenance issue in our room-- bathtub drain missing a screw and was dangling. Maintenance was upstairs within minutes and got it fixed. Valet guys were awesome! Free breakfast is such a wonderful perk-- especially with how over priced hotel breakfast can be. There's not an expansive on-site gym, but they have a nearby partnership. Such a comfortable stay. Easy access to the freeway or can avoid traffic by cutting through downtown.

I love everything about the Lancaster! It is a wonderful boutique hotel with old world charm. I love the staff and our suite was lovely. The room service breakfast was fabulous and the restaurant did not disappoint. I love the coffee machine and snacks in the rooms. The staff are all dedicated and I love the doorman and turn down service. I love the art work in the rooms and throughout the hotel. It was our second stay and we hope to stay there again soon! Definitely recommend. It provides value for money, has been quiet for us and great views from the upper floors. Wonderful and convenient location.

This historic, beautiful property is a must stay hotel in downtown Houston. This was our second stay here.. & it was stellar. The hotel is elegant, spotless & classy. The rooms are beautiful, spacious, comfortable & sound proofed. The bathrooms are nice with lovely old world charm & high end toiletries. The complimentary in room snacks, drinks, chocolates & coffee were great. Breakfast was wonderful & plentiful. The staff & valet were outstanding- enthusiastic & ready to serve. This is a 5 star property with a 10 star staff & valet.

Outstanding! This is a gem hidden inside Houston - the level of quality and attention to detail is just extraordinary! From the check-in, to the room, to the breakfast - everything was amazing. Perfect location to catch a show in Theatre District! Welcoming staff, who are actually happy to see you! Crisp white linens and towels, comfy bed. Great coffee, selection of teas at breakfast! We were blown away! Lancaster is a wonderful place!

The staff was exceptional. We felt so welcomed from the minute we got out of the car until final checkout. The room was comfortable and inviting. The breakfast was extensive and delicious. The bar and restaurant were wonderful. We ate dinner there 2 of the 3 nights we were there. The location is perfect for theater goers. It's in the heart of the arts district. I will likely never stay anywhere else when I'm in the Houston downtown area.
